Every Monday, firstpoint publishes five points about a topic related to life at university. This week, we’re focusing on printing on campus and check you’re confident in topping up your print credit…

POINT ONE: PRINTING ON CAMPUS…
You can print A4 and A3 pages by using the printers on campus, in colour or black & white (mono). After you have sent a document to print, you can access it on the printer using your ID card or by entering your username and password.
Printers are set to automatically print in black & white and two-sided, so when sending the document to print, you need to select your requirements if they are different to this.

POINT TWO: PRINTING FROM A DEVICE…
You can print directly from your laptop or mobile device through the WebPrint service, which you can access through MyWorc. Log into your portal with your University username and password and click on the ‘Print & Copy Portal’ tile.

Step by step instructions can be found on the university IT webpages.
To use a printer, you will need your student card, or you will need to your computer login ID and password, then just follow the instructions on the screen.

POINT THREE: TOPPING-UP YOUR CREDIT…
You must top up your student card with money to print. There are several self-service kiosks across all campus sites, allowing you to top-up using a credit or debit card by contactless or chip and pin. A kiosk on Level 1 of The Hive will allow you to top-up using coins and notes.
You will also find a top up kiosk in the ‘bring your own device’ study area of the Peirson Study and Guidance Centre, where you will be able to access additional advice and help from the Digital IT helpdesk if you experience any issues with your credit top up. Lots of helpful information can be found on the Digital Print and Copy FAQ page here
Please note, at the end of your course refunds are not available for any unused printing credit, so please ensure that you use any remaining credit, or top up only what you need.

POINT FOUR: POSTER PRINTING…
For printing documents larger than A3, you can contact an external supplier or use the Print Marketplace option.
Click here for instructions on how to register for a Print Marketplace account – please note, when registering you will need to use your university email account and select the ‘University of Worcester Students‘ option.
Once registered you can search for your requirements, compare quotes and place an order online. Please note, if you need an A1 or AO poster, you should use the Assisted Quote route.
You can also contact the support team in a variety of ways if you have any queries.
