Next week and the following week, we invite you to take a well-deserved break with our “Fancy a Break?” sessions. These sessions are designed specifically for students like you who are navigating the challenges of assessment periods.

Our “Fancy a Break?” sessions provide the perfect opportunity to step away from the books, unwind, and engage in some fun activities. - Fuel Your Brain: We understand that staying focused during exam season can be tough. That’s why we’ll be offering a selection of hot and cold drinks, along with biscuits and fresh fruit, to keep you energised. A little fuel can go a long way in helping you maintain your concentration and productivity. So come grab a drink, enjoy some tasty snacks, and get ready to tackle your studies with renewed energy!
- Boost Your Wellbeing: Sometimes, all it takes to improve your mental health is a change of pace. Our “Fancy a Break?” sessions are designed to help you relax and reset. Engaging in enjoyable activities can work wonders for your mood and motivation, making it easier to return to your studies with a fresh perspective.

What to Expect
During the sessions, you can look forward to a variety of relaxing activities. We’ll have colouring sheets, puzzles, and games available to help you unwind and unleash your creativity. These activities are not only fun but also serve as a great way to take your mind off the stress of exams.
Plus, on Tuesday 13th and Thursday 15th, we’ll be welcoming our Pets As Therapy dogs, for an extra dose of cuddly, calming energy!
In addition to the activities, “Fancy a Break?” provides a supportive space where you can connect with other students. This is a great opportunity to chat about anything and everything—except maybe those tricky exam questions! Building connections with your peers can help alleviate feelings of isolation and remind you that you’re not alone in this journey.
If you find yourself needing extra support, our friendly Student Wellbeing team will be on hand during the sessions. They are available to answer your questions and point you in the right direction, ensuring that you have access to the resources you need to succeed.
