Prioritise Your Wellbeing: University Mental Health Day Pop-Up Events Coming Soon!

Next Thursday is University Mental Health Day, and we’re excited to announce two pop-up events designed to support your wellbeing. Join us on Thursday 13th March, from 10am to 1pm, at The Hangar on St. John’s Campus and the Charles Hastings Reception on City Campus.

We know that university life can be challenging, and taking care of your mental health is essential. That’s why Student Support & Wellbeing, Counselling & Mental Health, and the Students’ Union have teamed up to bring you these informative and interactive events.

What to Expect:
At the pop-up events, you can expect a variety of engaging activities and resources. Information stalls will be available to provide details on the various mental health resources accessible to you on campus. Participate in interactive games and prompting questions designed to encourage open conversations about mental health. You’ll also have the opportunity to grab free resources, including puzzle books, games, relaxation prompts, and even plants. Finally, enjoy some furry cuddles and stress relief with our friendly therapy dogs, who will be on hand to provide comfort and support.

Our Key Messages:
We want to emphasise that you’re not alone; many students experience mental health challenges, and we’re here to support you. Remember that small steps can make a big difference in improving your wellbeing, and we encourage you to discover simple techniques to aid you. Don’t hesitate to reach out for help when you need it; seeking support is a sign of strength. Lastly, we believe that community matters, and supporting each other creates a stronger, healthier campus for everyone.

These events are designed to:

  • Raise awareness about mental health issues.
  • Provide practical tips and resources.
  • Encourage peer support and engagement.
  • Promote the University’s mental health services.

Whether you’re looking for information, support, or just a relaxing break from studies, we encourage you to join us. For more information, contact studentlife@worc.ac.uk.

See you there!
