Wellbeing Check for Assessment Prep

Fuel your focus, find your calm, forge your success!

It’s a busy time for students at the University of Worcester, and it’s totally normal to feel a little flustered. You’ve started the countdown to assessment deadlines and exams, and you may start to feel a little overwhelmed. But don’t worry, we’re here to support you.

The Student Support and Wellbeing Team are hosting two pop-up sessions, all about your wellbeing during this important time. Whether you’re starting to think about upcoming projects or diving into revision, these sessions are designed to equip you with helpful tips and tricks for success. Don’t just survive exam week, ace it.

We want to help you navigate the challenges of assessment week with confidence.

Our pop-up events will run from 11 am – 1 pm on Thursday 25th April in St John’s Reception, and Thursday 2nd May in the Charles Hastings Building at City Campus. Feel free to come along whenever it fits your schedule and have a chat. Whether you’re looking for some ideas to manage your workload, need some creative ideas to de-stress or just want to connect with other students who understand, this session is open to everyone.

We’ll have information about:

  • Stress-Less Strategies: Feeling a little butterflies in your stomach? That’s okay! We’ll share some fantastic techniques to manage stress and stay calm. Learn how to take care of yourself and find your inner peace during busy periods.
  • Creative Chill Zones: We know studying can be hard work, but it’s important to take breaks! We’ll share some fun and refreshing ideas for de-stressing and recharging your brain. Discover how taking breaks filled with activities you enjoy can actually help you focus even better when you return to your studies. We’ll even have some freebies to help you take a break!
  • The Power of Connection: Sometimes the best way to stay motivated is to connect with those who care about you. We’ll talk about the importance of staying in touch with friends and family during exam season.
  • Mitigating Circumstances: Come and  ask questions about the process and possible outcomes. We can talk it through, step-by-step, or book an appointment to discuss your specific needs in confidence.
  • Support is Always Available: Feeling like things are a bit much? That’s perfectly okay! We’ll share information about the fantastic support services available at the University of Worcester. No matter what you’re facing, there’s always someone there to help.

Remember, you don’t have to go through this alone! These wellbeing pop-ups are a safe space for you to ask questions, share your experiences and learn some helpful tools to make the most of the countdown to assessment week.

During the Assessment Weeks Tuesday 7th – Friday 17th May, we will be changing our usual “Fancy A Cuppa?” event and instead we’ll be in firstpoint every day between 1pm-2pm for “Fancy a Break?”.  So if you need a quick break from revision, come a join us for a hot drink, a chat, and some distraction activities!
