Self-care event

self care diagramLife as a student can be stressful. Because of this, a big main priority should be self-care. Nevertheless, we remember to take care of others- and forget to take care of ourselves. Self-care could be anything from giving yourself a treat, incorporating hygge, mindfulness or gratitude in your daily life or just having that extra cup of tea.

The week of 18-24th of November is self-care week, emphasising the importance of supporting ourselves.

With this in mind, the Student Wellbeing Champions and Student Services are hosting a self-care event on Thursday 21st of November in firstpoint from 9 am – 3 pm.

self care imageStop by for a cup of tea on our extended all-day “Fancy a Cuppa” and cuddle up in blankets and pillows for a well-deserved break. Other activities include painting UW rocks, picking a self-care activity from our suggestion box or write on our “big yourself up board”. Information about self-care, mental health and the concept of “hygge” will also be provided to ensure you take the time to care for yourself during stressful times.
