Working with Children and Young People: Tuesday 26th Jan 9:45-3.00pm – St Johns Campus: This day-long conference is aimed at anyone wanting to explore alternative careers in this sector and will feature sessions by a variety of professional in the field as well as exciting key note sessions by ex-children’s presenter and advocate of children’s rights Floella Benjamin and Karyn McClusky who has pioneered working with families to reduce crime in Glasgow.
LinkedIn photobooth: Tuesday 26th Jan 11.30-1.30pm – Main reception, City Campus: To give yourself an edge in your graduate job hunt you need to use social networks such as LinkedIn effectively, and your photograph is an essential part of this. You should be professionally dressed, with a single head and shoulder shot. To get you started, come along to the photobooth for a free photo and pick up information about your online presence (no booking required). Dress smartly!
Mock Assessment Centre: Thursday 28th Jan 12.00-2.00pm – City Campus: Assessment centres are an integral part of many employers’ assessment process. Come along and experience a real assessment centre experience run by graduate employers Enterprise Rent-a-Car to find out more about what you might expect.
Interview Skills workshop: Thursday 28th Jan 12.30-1.15pm – St Johns Campus: Find out about what employers are really looking for in an interview and how to prepare and present yourself well. Run by independent trainer Claire Jenkins of 1-2-1 Coaching.
