This year, the University has reserved a number of student shared properties in the local area, specifically for continuing students, enabling them to take advantage of some of benefits that it has recently been able to negotiate for new students joining the University.
Here are just a few of these:
- No retainer
Unlike dealing direct with private landlords, the University will not charge you a fee to hold the room – cutting your upfront costs down by around 50%!
- All inclusive utilities
Having all of your bills already accounted for makes budgeting easy, and you will not need to worry about whose turn it is to top up the electricity meter, or hefty bills arriving through your letter box!
- Individual Agreements
You do not need to fear the dreaded joint tenancy with us, as the University only ever issues individual agreements!
- Termination
Unlike private landlords, should you find yourself in a position where you are unable to continue your studies at the University, the University will release you from your agreement. You will only pay for the nights that you stayed in the accommodation. With a private landlord you will normally be held to the end of your tenancy whether you are studying or not!
