We are excited to host Race Equality Week, featuring a variety of engaging and educational events aimed at fostering awareness and celebrating diversity.
The week kicks off on Tuesday, 4th February, with the Opening Event: a thought-provoking Talk on Race Equality featuring a Guest Speaker, taking place from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM in CH1008. This session will set the tone for the week and explore the importance of equality in all aspects of life. On Wednesday, 5th February, join us for a delightful Food Tasting Show and Candle Painting Session from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM in the Hangar. This event will celebrate cultural traditions and creativity, providing a space for learning and connection.
The celebration continues on Thursday, 6th February, with a Cultural Dance Workshop, also held in the Hangar from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Come along to experience vibrant dances from various cultures and learn about their significance. Then on Friday, 7th February, the spotlight will shine on fashion and celebration during our Fashion Show, taking place in the Hangar from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This event promises to showcase the beauty and diversity of cultural attire and styles.
Finally, the week concludes on Monday, 10th February, with an online discussion on the Decolonization of the Curriculum, running from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This insightful session will explore how educational content can be reimagined to reflect diverse perspectives.
