Each year, the Student Support and Wellbeing team create handmake decorations for the Christmas trees at St John’s Reception, firstpoint, Elizabeth Garret Anderson foyer and at Worcester Cathedral as part of the Christmas Tree Festival.
Gifting Kindness at Christmas
For Christmas 2024, we are focusing on acts of kindness within our community. In a world often focused on material gifts, it’s essential to remember that the most meaningful presents don’t always come with a price tag. The gift of kindness—through acts of service, thoughtful words, or simple gestures—can have a profound impact on both the giver and those receiving.
Add Your Christmas Kindness Promise
Our decorations are based on the idea of gifts and giving: gift tags, mini Christmas cards, gift boxes and gift bags. Each one is handmade, and we would like to invite students to add their own gift of a few kind words, or a kindness pledge to our carefully crafted decorations. This could be as simple as leaving a positive message for someone to read, or the promise to buy an extra item to donate to the food bank.
Where Can You Find Us
Gift tags and Christmas cards will be available in firstpoint, at the SU desk at City Campus, and in the EGA foyer, until 29th November, for students to add their personal touch of kindness. Thank you for your support.
