If your student maintenance loan doesn’t seem to be as much as you were expecting, it’s possible that it’s only the basic amount and hasn’t been topped up by taking account of your household income (usually parents if you are under age 25).
Check your online Student Finance England (SFE) account to make sure you have been income-assessed and if you’re not sure telephone SFE on 0300 100 0607.
