The Hive opening hours on Friday, November 13th

We are delighted to announce that The Hive has been selected to host the BBC’s Midlands coverage of Children in Need on Friday 13th November.

The Hive will be “dressed” in Children in Need livery and there will be four live TV slots coming from The Hive during the evening’s broadcast.

Inside the building there will include a 300 strong choir, an A-capella group and a tap-dancing troupe, among many of the other events being filmed.

In order to host this event, The Hive will close at 12pm on Friday, November 13th for the remainder of the day. It will re-open, as normal, at 8.30am on Saturday, November 14th.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but hope you will agree that this is an exciting opportunity to support this valuable annual fundraising event. Study spaces are available in the Peirson Study and Guidance Centre and at the Riverside Building and you will be able to access the usual wide range of electronic learning resources through your SOLE page.

A number of University of Worcester students have been and will be directly involved in the event. A group of Graphic Design and Multimedia students have designed posters and bunting for display during the filming, while Film Production students have been invited to gain valuable work experience with the camera crews.
