Students living in Berrow Hall of residence have won the 2012-13 Worcester University Student Switch Off energy-saving competition! Students saved loads of energy this year, across all halls of residences, but Berrow went that extra mile when it came to switching off lights and appliances and putting layers on and turning the heating down or off.
Every resident at Berrow Hall will receive some delicious Ben & Jerry’s and a gift as a thank you for all their hard work this term.
Together, Worcester University residents have reduced carbon emissions by several tonnes! It just goes to show that small actions can make a real difference in the fight against climate change.
There are over 180 Eco-Power Rangers across all the University of Worcester halls of residence who have been switching off lights and appliances when not in use, putting lids on pans when cooking and not overfilling their kettles.
Thanks to everyone who took part and we hope that your energy-saving actions continue!
