We have been advised by the Environment Agency that the flood barriers will be re-instated on Hylton Rd this evening and users of the Riverside car park are advised to remove their vehicles by 4pm at the latest.
Once the barriers are in place egress from Riverside by car will be difficult as Hylton Rd heading towards St John’s Campus is flooded with the possibility that waters are still rising. The barriers will block any egress in the other direction.
Please pass this detail to anyone that you think may be affected.
