What is PebblePad?
PebblePad is a personal learning system that is used for portfolios and practice assessment. TEL recommend tutors should be the first point of contact if a student experiences any PebblePad problems, but the TEL team can advise from a technical point of view.
Are you using PebblePad on Placement?
TEL have some handy troubleshooting tips for students and their external placement assessors below:
External assessor shares:
When instructed by Academic tutors, students may need to share their submitted PebblePad assignment with a placement assessor outside of UW.
- The TEL ‘Sharing with External Assessors in PebblePad’ instructional video includes all the details.
- After students share in this way, external workplace assessors will be able to see an ‘Assessor’ view of a workbook / ePortfolio – to complete the sections they need to edit. (Likewise, students will see parts which they can only edit in their view.)
External assessor PebblePad emails:
- When an external assessor share has been made, external assessors should receive an email from: noreply@pebblepadlearning.co.uk If assessors have any problems finding PebblePad emails, they can contact TEL tel@worc.ac.uk for further support, or students can do this on their behalf.
Editing Issues and the new External Assessor Dashboard:
- If a workplace assessor cannot view or edit work, students can check their external assessor share is still in date / all the details, by clicking on the ‘Shared with 1 workspace’ clipboard icon. PebblePad have useful guidance about how to do this: Share an asset with external assessor | Learners – Using PebblePad : Help Hub. External assessors should be able to view correct ‘assessor’ shares, under ‘Items shared for assessment’, from their External dashboard.
