Our friendly and specialist Library Services Team have been busy this semester preparing helpful resources and fantastic advice and guidance to support you through your studies and academic work. Find out more here…
Explore The Hive
If you’ve not been to The Hive yet, join us for a tour.
Discover study spaces to suit your needs. Find out how to borrow and return books; print and copy; access pcs and wifi; get help and more. And most importantly, discover the Hive cafe, which offers student discounts, meal deals and excellent cake.
We offer regular guided tours and more ‘relaxed’ tours with smaller groups, running during some of the Hive’s quieter times.
Students with neurodiversity and noise sensitivity especially might find the relaxed tour useful but all are welcome (no disclosures required). Sign up on the Library Services website.

Download ebooks more easily
If you need to read our ebooks on your commute or where you have a dodgy internet connection, this is for you.
Library Services have a new ebook reader available, meaning you can download ebooks to your personal device. If you’re using ProQuest Ebook Central you now have the option to download most books. There are more details of how to get the app on our FAQ.
Ebooks from other providers can often be downloaded to the Pocketbook Reader. Again, see the FAQ for more.
Ebooks can be downloaded from these sites to personal phones and tablets. The apps are not available on UW owned devices.
