All are welcome to join an Iftar celebration on 21st March at 6pm in the Edward Elgar Main Dining area , St John’s campus.
Iftar is the evening meal with which Muslims end their daily Ramadan fast at sunset. It is a significant and communal event, and all are welcome, even if you are not participating in Ramadan.
The meal begins with the eating of dates and drinking water, followed by varieties of pizzas and chips!
Iftar gatherings are a time for community bonding and intercultural dialogue. Those of all faiths are invited to join and learn about Ramadan, we hope to warmly welcome many of our university community to the event!
