Semester 2 Parking Permits – Apply Online Now

The online application system for the 2024/25 Semester 2 parking permits is now live and student permit orders made online are ready for collection from firstpoint

What are the Options:

  • You can find the car parking permit information on the Car Parking webpages here and you might find it helpful using the Student Parking Permit Table here to compare the various options and prices.
  • Please note, semester 1 parking permits are coming to the end of their validity period (31st January) and so if you have a semester 1 only permit and would like to continue parking on campus, a new application for a semester 2 permit is required.
  • Students and staff are encouraged to find sustainable ways to travel to and from campus and so check the Transport section of the firstpoint webpage for information regarding alternative ways to travel.
  • Pay and Display charges can also be found online here.

How to Apply:

  • To apply for a parking permit, select the blue ‘Apply Online’ button on the Car Parking Information webpages here.
  • If you have just joined us on a January cohort course you will need to make sure you are fully registered on SOLE before making a parking permit application – please follow the guidance in the registration email you will have received from the Admissions department.
  • You will need to enter your university username and password to login and then follow the steps to make your selection and enter your vehicle details.
  • Payment is required during the online application process using a credit or debit card.
  • Once your application has been received you will receive a confirmation email.

How to Collect:

  • Once you have completed your online application, your permit will be available for collection straight away from firstpoint.  Please visit us during our opening hours which you can check on the firstpoint webpage
  • We are in the Peirson Study and Guidance Centre on the St John’s Campus.
  • Please make sure you bring some photographic ID with you such as your student ID card, driving licence or passport.
  • If you are a Blue Badge holder or entitled to PIP, we will need to check evidence of this before issuing the parking permit and so please bring this with you.
  • You can add up to two vehicle registrations to your permit application, however you will only receive one permit and must make sure it is displayed in the car that you are bringing on to campus each day.
  • Once you have collected your permit you can display this in your car and use it straight away.

Blue Badge Parking:

  • We have a number of Blue Badge spaces across the campuses – if you have a Blue Badge, you can apply for a free of charge permit – you will however still need to register on the online system and bring evidence of your Blue Badge upon collection (a clear photograph of the front and back is fine).
  • You will be issued with a UW parking permit and must display this alongside your Blue Badge when parking on campus.
  • For accessibility information please see the AccessAble car park guide.
