THE STUDENTS’ UNION IS TRIALLING AN EXTENDED SERVICE THROUGHOUT NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER TO SUPPORT A GROWING NUMBER OF STUDENTS.
With the academic year steaming ahead, students now can speak with an SU advisor about academic issues out of hours and at different campuses.

While we hope you are settling into the new academic year and making the most of the great opportunities here at Worcester university, we understand that sometimes things can go wrong. Firstpoint are here to support all students with a variety of issues and our friends at the Students’ Union are expanding their services to support students with a range of academic issues from academic misconduct to complaints and appeals.
Mollie and Kim, the SU’s Academic & Welfare advisors have been in touch to tell us they are trialling a new type of service this winter.
Changes to the Help & Advice service
Throughout November and December, the Students’ Union Help & Advice service will allow students to request twilight appointments between 8am-9am and 5pm-8pm on Teams or by telephone on a case-by-case basis. It is hoped this increased flexibility will support students on placement or with personal commitments to access support for academic issues. Mollie and Kim will also be offering a drop-in service, either face to face or by telephone every Friday in November. The clearing phone number is 01905 542023.
Outreach
The Help & Advice team, Mollie and Kim, will also be hosting ‘campus chats’: the SU will have a pop-up stall across all university campuses to increase visibility and make it easier for students to talk to us in between lectures. Our Firstpoint advisors will also be attending some of these events and look forward to speaking with students from across the university.
