‘Fancy a Cuppa?’ is an opportunity for students to make contact with support staff and meet other students in an informal casual setting. It is hosted by Student Wellbeing Champions and Student Services Staff and is open to all students across all years and academic courses. Free hot drinks and biscuits are available.
Today, Fancy a Cuppa, along with other teams from Student Services such as Money Advice, Careers, Disability & Dyslexia and Counselling & Mental Health, will be at the Students’ Union Welcome Fair as part of the firstpoint pop-up.
firstpoint is a helpdesk for current and prospective students at the University of Worcester. They are the front desk for Student Services but can also answer questions on a variety of topics and signpost to other teams across the University. Based in the Peirson Study and Guidance Centre, the pop-up is a chance to meet students in other locations across campus.
The Welcome Fair has moved to the Sports Hall on St John’s Campus, as the poor weather conditions making an outdoor event at City Campus impossible. The Welcome Fair is open from 12.00 – 14.00, with a quiet half hour between 11.30 – 12.00 before the main Fair starts, for students who prefer a quieter environment.
