POINT ONE: ASK FIRSTPOINT

At firstpoint, we’re here to help you access information and support during your studies. If you’ve got a question, whatever it might be, we’re a good place to start. You can visit us on the St John’s Campus, phone us on 01905 542551 or email firstpoint@worc.ac.uk.

You’ll also find lots of helpful information (including our opening hours) on the firstpoint webpages.

Sometimes you might have a question that seems a bit weird, or you may not be sure if we’re the right people to ask… Don’t worry, we’re here to listen. If we can’t answer your question ourselves, we’ll do our best to find the correct department for you.

POINT TWO: LOOKING AFTER YOURSELF

It’s not unusual that alongside the exciting opportunities university offers, you may also experience some difficulties and challenges. There is lots of support available, so please let us know about any concerns you are having.

There may be times when you need some advice or information but are not sure exactly what to ask; that’s what firstpoint are here for. We can help you figure out what it is you need to know. We can also help you make contact with other services at the University, such as Wellbeing, Counselling or Mental Health support.

POINT THREE: BOOKING APPOINTMENTS

Do you need to see an adviser from the Disability and Dyslexia Service, Money Advice or the Accommodation Team? Are you thinking of broadening your horizons and studying abroad and want to find out more? firstpoint can book appointments with a variety of services at the University. If you’re not sure which service you need, come and talk to us and we’ll help you work that out.

POINT FOUR: TRAVEL & TRANSPORT

If you need to find out about travelling to or around campus, borrowing a bike, getting a rail card, student bus travel or collecting a parking permit, we have lots of information. To find out more, just get in touch or look at the travel and transport section of our webpage.

Everyone is different and if you’re concerned about getting around, AccessAble is an on-line guide which gives the detailed information you need to work out if a place is going to be accessible to you.
